Ken Nicolson

Ken Nicolson
CEO/President

As president and Chief Executive Officer, Ken Nicolson brings over 20 years of experience in executive management and marketing with leading social media, online analytics, Web 2.0 and marketing optimization companies. At Powered, Mr. Nicolson oversees day-to-day operations and guides overall business strategy for Powered's social marketing solutions among large brands. He will drive market and product expansion of Powered's turn-key offerings that combine consumer education content, strategic program management and a social media technology platform proven to stimulate engagement around products and brands.

Prior to joining Powered, Nicolson served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Pluck, an Austin-based developer of social media technologies, where he led all aspects of product marketing and management, communications, field marketing and corporate strategy.

Before Pluck, Nicolson served as president and Chief Executive Officer for Veridiem, a software firm that helped global brands optimize their return on marketing investments. While at Veridiem, Mr. Nicolson guided the company to become a leading provider of marketing optimization solutions, acquired world-known brands including Procter & Gamble, Gillette, Nissan, and Ford, and led the negotiations for the sale of Veridiem to SAS Institute. He has also served in key executive roles for a number of other technology companies including: Alphablox, Kiva Software, Red Brick Systems, Informix and IBM.

Mr. Nicolson received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Ron Green

Ron Green
CTO

Mr. Green serves as Chief Technology Officer at Powered and brings many years of experience in steering technology products from initial design to widespread commercial use. He has significant industry experience in the telecommunications, biotechnology, and e-commerce technology sectors.

At Powered, Mr. Green drives the technology vision and directs all aspects of product design, architecture, and development. His expertise, gained through leadership roles in five startup companies, lies in managing the iterative process of new product development to meet market demands.

Mr. Green holds two software patents in DNA identification and has an established record of building and maintaining large, high-performance development teams.

Bringing more to his role than engineering abilities, his business operations and marketing knowledge allow him to serve as a liaison between engineering, product marketing, and strategic initiatives to anticipate and exceed customer expectations.

Prior to joining Powered, Mr. Green led engineering efforts at several well-known e-commerce companies, including Question Technologies and Living.com. At Orillion, a leader in telecommunications monitoring systems, he led development and deployment of its distributed management systems at some of the world's largest carriers, including WorldCom and KDDI. One of the first employees at Visible Genetics, he helped build it into a publicly traded company (VGIN) and leader in the emerging field of pharmacogenomics.

Ron Green has a B.A. in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas, Austin and an MSC in Adaptive Systems from the University of Sussex, England

David Settle

David Settle
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Settle serves as Powered's CFO and VP of Finance and Administration with responsibilities over the company's financial, legal, HR, and administrative functions. He brings more than 25 years of experience in financial and strategic operations and has played a key role in the success of several Texas high-tech companies. Mr. Settle joined Powered in 2007 and has been instrumental in directing the financial execution of the company's strategic business plans in order to maximize the company's business value.

Mr. Settle's distinguished career has been recognized through the receipt of numerous awards including being selected as one of the 2008 Best CFOs by the Austin Business Journal, and having received two nominations for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Central Texas. Mr. Settle has directly participated in over $2.5 billion in M&A activity and more than $600 million in both private and public debt and equity financings.

Prior to joining Powered, Mr. Settle co-founded Mirage Networks in 2001, where he served as CFO. Under his direction, Mirage Networks grew to become one of the leaders in network access security solutions for corporate networks, and the company was recently acquired by Trustwave. Prior to Mirage Networks, Mr. Settle served as CFO at Exterprise, Inc., a B2B software company, where he directed the company's operational management and led negotiations in the merger with Commerce One. Previously, Mr. Settle was CFO at Dazel Corporation, where he played a significant role in the company's acquisition by HP. David spent nine years at Convex Computer, where he served in a variety of finance and marketing positions, including director of investor relations and corporate treasurer. Mr. Settle also has experience in the securities industry, having served as an investment banker and software research analyst.

Mr. Settle received a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Tech University and holds an M.A. in International Management Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Kathy Warren

VP Account Planning & Management

As Vice President of Account Planning and Management, Ms. Warren brings over ten years of experience in developing high-impact online marketing initiatives, including three years in strategic account management at Powered where she helped industry leaders such as Sony execute highly successful integrated social marketing programs. In her new role at Powered, Ms. Warren will leverage her unrivaled knowledge in strategic marketing and program management to help companies develop social marketing programs that deliver measurable ROI by stimulating engagement around products and brands.

Ms. Warren joined Powered in 2005 and was responsible for transforming the company's account services group into a strategic planning and management organization. Her many successes include developing best-in-class social marketing and education initiatives in partnership with brands like Disney, iVillage and Sony.

Prior to Powered, Ms. Warren held several strategic marketing positions at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), including corporate marketing strategist and segment marketing manager. While at AMD, she was responsible for developing integrated direct marketing plans to support product launches, educating global marketing organizations on relationship marketing best practices, and creating marketing programs that targeted consumers. She also assisted in the development of AMD's two-year global retail marketing strategy. Ms. Warren's efforts garnered her several awards, including recognition for innovation in multimedia, team leadership and process enhancement.

Ms. Warren, who started her career as a communications specialist for the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, received a BA from University of Texas at Austin.

Aaron Strout

Vice President Marketing

Aaron Strout has recently joined Austin, TX based, Powered as the VP of marketing. As the head of marketing at Powered, Aaron focuses not only on day to day marketing activities but also provides a social voice for the company. In this role, Aaron continues with his speaking, blogging, podcasting and social networking activities with an eye toward creating awareness and lead generation for the company.

Prior to joining Powered, Aaron was the Vice President of Social Media at Mzinga, a Burlington, Massachusetts-based provider of online communities and social networks for businesses. In his role, Aaron focused on tapping into the power of social media for business. In addition to his knowledge of the interactive and new media landscape, Aaron has more than 15 years of online marketing and advertising experience, with a strong background in integrated and online marketing.

Before joining Mzinga, Aaron worked at Fidelity Investments in their retail division, with a focus on online and acquisition marketing. Aaron's work at Fidelity revolved around Web strategy & marketing, as well as the development of interactive and print campaigns, including direct mail, e-mail, banner & print ads, and event marketing.

Aaron is also a founding member and former president of (BIMA) and a member and former board member of the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX). Aaron was also recently elected an interim board member for the prestigious Social Media Club. He will be part of a team responsible for creating standards around social media and community.

Natanya Anderson

Vice President of Content Strategy and Delivery

As Vice President of Content Strategy and Delivery, Natanya Anderson guides the development and delivery of creative content to Powered's clients, including HP, Sony, iVillage, Atkins and Motorola. With her extensive background in education, web technologies, account management and creative delivery, Ms. Anderson is uniquely qualified to integrate Powered's content services into all of Powered's programs. Natanya brings over 15 years of experience developing strategic online content for leading brands, and most recently served as Executive Creative Director at Powered, Inc.

Since joining Powered in 2000, Ms. Anderson has worked in all areas of creative delivery, from integration of content and technology to development of creative strategies in support of client marketing programs. Under her leadership, the Creative team has grown 200% and taken on key responsibilities for driving client programs forward into the Web 2.0 space. Her team provides engaging knowledge experiences in all formats, from video and rich Flash-based user environments to in-depth courses and engaging web content. Ms. Anderson and her team have years of experience creating robust learning centers and social marketing offerings that accelerate purchase, build customer loyalty and create meaningful online community.

Prior to joining Powered, Natanya led the customer training content development team at Pervasive Software. Her team was responsible for developing classroom and online training programs that covered the entire suite of Pervasive software offerings. Ms. Anderson has authored more than a dozen books on web technologies and has been on the faculty of several national conferences: including HP World, Mac World, and HP + Interop.

Ms. Anderson is certified as a secondary school teacher in Texas; she holds a B.A. in Latin from the University of Texas, Austin.
