Powered Announces Michelle Tack as Vice President of Sales

Austin, Texas — August 15, 2006 — Powered, the leading provider of online consumer education programs for Global 2000 brands, today announced that Michelle Tack has joined the company as vice president of worldwide sales. In her new role, Tack will be responsible for driving Powered's worldwide sales efforts with a focus on increasing revenue and forging relationships among Fortune 1000 enterprises.

"Powered has had a record-breaking year as companies embrace online education programs as the most effective way to market to their customers," said Dave Ellett, chairman and CEO of Powered. "Michelle clearly possesses the intelligence, experience, and leadership skills necessary to meet the demands of high-profile advertisers while continuing to propel Powered in its explosive growth."

Prior to joining Powered, Tack held the position of vice president of worldwide sales at Apani Networks, an enterprise software security company. In addition to being responsible for worldwide sales activities, she developed and closed multiple Fortune 100 accounts.

Tack was formerly vice president of sales, Western U.S., for Stellent, Inc., a Business Process Management (BPM) and content management organization. She increased revenue by 200 percent at Stellant and closed the company's largest contract to date with Edwards Jones. Previously, Tack held vice president of sales positions with Docent, Inc. and Peoplesoft.

"Powered is an easy sell because online consumer education is one of those rare cases where everyone wins," said Tack. "Consumers get free content that is valuable to them. Powered's clients gain proven revenue and brand impact. Non-traditional advertising is clearly emerging as the future of marketing, and I am very excited about introducing consumer education programs to companies across the globe."

Companies including Atkins, BusinessWeek, Gateway, HP, iVillage, Sony, and P&G are currently using Powered's pioneering consumer education programs to provide consumers with rich online learning experiences that increase sales, improve brand loyalty, and deliver new insights into consumer attitudes and buying behavior. Recent research from Next Century Media, available online at http://report.powered.com has demonstrated that consumers who complete courses are 29 times more likely to buy the sponsor's products compared to traditional media advertising, and 5 times more likely to buy compared to direct marketing. In addition, 94% have a more favorable impression of the brand because of the experience, and 90% are likely to recommend it to a friend.
